Matrix Finance and Accounting seeks a Controller for a mid-sized telecom company rolling up to a public entity. This mostly remote role supports candidates on the West Coast (WA preferred) with periodic quarterly travel.

You will own financial reporting, close processes, GL review, and reporting packages, and act as SME on technical accounting topics like revenue, leases, and business combinations. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI tracking, supervising 4–5

Competenze

• 12+ years in accounting/finance with 5+ in a leadership role.
• CPA certification and public accounting background.
• Experience in telecom or capital-intensive industries.
• Experience with SOX and external audits.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge: revenue, leases, business combinations, fixed assets.
• Leadership of 4–5 direct reports.

Controller, mid-sized telecom co. (rolling up to public entity) – MOSTLY REMOTE:

NEW Controller opportunity with a mid-sized telecom company, rolling up to a public entity. This is a ‘mostly remote’ role, candidates can be in WA or West Coast, requiring quarterly travel. Own financial reporting, close, review GL accounting/JE’s/financial reporting packages, audit. Serve as SME for technical accounting (revenue, leases, business combos, capital assets), oversee SOX, project/infrastructure accounting, external audit liaison. Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, KPI and metrics tracking. Supervise an AC, Sr./Managers (4-5 direct reports). Looking for 12+ years experience (5+ as a manager or department leader), CPA, public accounting background, and experience in telecom, broadband, infrastructure/construction, tech, or capital-intensive industries. Comp range to $200K + bonus, great benefits, mostly remote role (requiring periodic travel).
