Job description

Incredible Health is looking for a Controller as part of the Finance team and reporting to the CFO. This person will be responsible for overseeing all of our accounting and financial operations as we scale the business and team. It’s an exciting time at Incredible Health as we launch new business lines so this role will be responsible for evolving our revenue recognition and billing practices and processes.

This role is 100% remote and can be located in the following states:

California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Alabama, Arizona, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Idaho, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia

Typical Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of and resources for our accounting operations, payroll, and financial analysis and planning
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements with analytics and recommendations
  • Partner with management on understanding results and providing recommendations on go forward actions
  • Produce cash flow forecasts and provide strategic input on how we should use our capital prudently
  • Partner with auditor on the preparation of annual audits
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Help build and manage a team of high performing professionals.
  • Partner with HR/People team on 401(k) management, strategy, and annual audit
  • Be a stakeholder for company wide initiatives that need accounting and finance input
Success in your first 6 months will look like:
  • Build out revenue recognition, billing, collection processes for new business lines like technicians, subscription pricing, self-serve, and ads
  • Successfully lead company through its second ever audit and implement any improvements required to internal processes and systems
  • Oversee all of accounting operations including month end close, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, payroll, cap table management, treasury management, and all tax and compliance requirements
Requirements
  • 7+ years of accounting experience
  • Prior experience working in high growth marketplaces, enterprise software, and/or managed services companies
  • Experience managing people and team accountability with demonstrated and proactive performance management tools and tenets
  • BA/BS in Accounting/Finance
  • CPA is required
