Job summary

Refloor, America’s fastest-growing flooring company, seeks an experienced Controller to lead accounting, inventory management, risk compliance, and treasury. The role reports to the CFO and combines leadership with hands-on technical accounting expertise.

The ideal candidate will drive the year-end close, financial reporting, and KPI development, overseeing payroll, tax compliance, and multi-state payroll processes to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA certification required or actively pursuing.
• Proven leadership in accounting and payroll teams.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing and compliance.
• Strong Excel skills and financial systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure GAAP-compliant timely close and complete financial reporting.
• Lead and develop the accounting/payroll team.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash control, and tax compliance.
• Oversee inventory management across warehouses and treasury functions.
• Assist in budgeting, cash flow modelling, and KPI reporting.

Ourbusiness israpidlygrowing andneeds an experienced Controller to help with the continued development of financial systems,inventory management, and internalcontrols.

Job Description:

TheControllerwillreport directly to the Chief Financial Officer.Working closely withthe Chief Financial Officer,they will provideleadership and direction in the areas of accounting, corporate reporting,inventory management,risk compliance,financeand treasury.This is a hands-on position which requires both leadership skillsas well asstrong technical accounting skills. The Controller will manage all finance and accounting activities to provide information, both financial and non-financial, to key stakeholders both in and outsideofthe organization.

Detailed responsibilities include:

• Perform all activities needed to complete aGAAP complianttimelyclose.
• Complete allrequired financial reporting.
• Lead and develop the existing accounting/payrollteam.
• Ensuring theaccurateandtimelyprocessing of accounts payables, expense reports, accounts receivables, cash control, payrollprocessingand applicable tax compliance.
• Oversee the procurement and management of inventoryat multiple warehouses.
• Assistin developing cash flow models and all related treasury functions.
• Work withtheCFO and relevant teams to complete annual budgets.
• Help increatingand reporting of companywide KPI’s.
• Participatein special projects.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, workproceduresand instructions.

Education and Technical Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accountingor finance
• CPA certification
• Minimum of three yearspreviousexperience with inventory management
• Minimum of sevenyears of hands-on accounting and managerial experience
• Previousexperience withmulti-statepayroll processing and compliance
• Proventrack recordin leadership
• Advanced Excel skills
