Job summary

CFS is seeking a Controller in the Pittsburgh area to lead key accounting functions and partner directly with the CFO and VP of Finance. The role offers a broad, hands-on scope across inventory, financials, and operations in a growing manufacturing-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will bring manufacturing accounting experience, strong audit/tax skills, and an advanced proficiency in Excel with ERP system knowledge, preferably Sage.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing accounting experience is required.
• Strong audit and tax preparation background.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Sage preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead audit and tax preparation processes, partnering with external firms.
• Oversee inventory accounting and support operational teams with financial insights.
• Manage the month-end close and prepare financial statements.
• Supervise Assistant Controller and accounting/admin staff.
• Collaborate with yard managers and leadership to analyze and communicate financial performance.
