Job summary

UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group is seeking a high-impact Controller to oversee accounting operations and partner with ownership in a fast-paced, growing organization in the cannabis industry.

The onsite Controller will manage A/R, GL, and close processes, provide financial insights to leadership, and help strengthen internal controls across a multi-entity structure.

Qualifications

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including A/R, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manage general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Partner with leadership on financial insights and operational decision-making.
• Experience in a large cannabis organization (>$50M revenue preferred).
• Strong accounting leadership experience in a Controller or similar role.
• CPA preferred but not required.

A great UHY client is seeking a Controller to join a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial organization within a specialized and evolving industry. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to oversee accounting operations, support continued growth, and partner closely with ownership in a fast-paced environment.

The Controller role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including A/R, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Manage general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Partner with leadership on financial insights and operational decision-making
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Work within QuickBooks Online and other systems to manage financial data
• Collaborate across the organization to support a growing, multi-entity structure
• Experience in a large cannabis organization ($50M+ revenue preferred)
• Strong accounting leadership experience in a Controller or similar role
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Experience with QuickBooks Online required; Cannex or Leaf Link is a plus
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• CPA preferred but not required
• Demonstrated longevity and desire for long-term growth
