Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting functions during a period of significant growth. The role reports to the CFO and manages a 3–4 person team across accounting operations such as AP, AR, cost accounting, payroll, and cash management.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in accounting with government contracting experience, strong budgeting and reporting skills, and a hands-on leadership style to drive a high-growth manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with government contracting.
• Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS.
• Prior accounting leadership or team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting.
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience preferred.
• Hands-on leader with oversight of the broader accounting function.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations and financial reporting (AP, AR, payroll, cost accounting).
• Manage 3–4 accounting professionals.
• Oversee monthly/year-end close and financial statements.
• Prepare and analyze annual, monthly, and department budgets.
• Lead annual audit and coordinate with external auditors.
• Ensure FAR/DFARS government contracting compliance.
• Maintain strong internal controls and reporting processes.
• Support ERP-based accounting needs.

An established aerospace & defense manufacturer is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting functions during a period of significant projected growth. The company is entering an exciting stage of expansion and has added experienced industry leadership to help drive its continued growth.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will manage a team of 3 to 4 accounting professionals and oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, audit, and government contract compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations and financial reporting, including AP, AR, cost accounting, payroll, and cash management
• Manage and develop a team of 3 to 4 accounting professionals
• Oversee monthly and year end close and financial statement preparation
