Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Controller in Saint Paul, MN with 10+ years of accounting leadership to partner with executives on strategic growth. Lead accounting, FP&A, and process improvements while guiding ERP/MRP initiatives and internal controls for a multi-entity manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting, finance, controllership, or FP&A experience.
• Manufacturing, production, cost accounting, or operations finance background.
• Proven experience analyzing labor costs, pricing, margins, profitability, and operational performance.
• Experience leading ERP, accounting system, MRP, or process improvement initiatives.
• CPA preferred; CMA, MBA, or other advanced finance credentials valued.
• Ability to operate as both a strategic business partner and hands-on finance leader.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls across multiple entities.
• Partner with operations leadership to analyze profitability, labor utilization, pricing, margins, and contracts.
• Develop KPIs, benchmarking tools, and reporting to improve financial visibility and business performance.
• Evaluate and streamline manual processes while leading automation and systems improvement initiatives.
• Manage cash flow, treasury activities, audits, compliance, and financial risk management.
• Direct and mentor the accounting team while supporting organizational growth and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Bring

• 10+ years of progressive accounting, finance, controllership, or FP&A experience.
• Strong manufacturing, production, cost accounting, or operations finance background.
• Proven experience analyzing labor costs, pricing strategies, margins, profitability, and operational performance.
• Experience leading ERP, accounting system, MRP, or process improvement initiatives.
• CPA strongly preferred; CMA, MBA, or other advanced finance credentials are highly valued.
• Ability to operate as both a strategic business partner and hands-on finance leader.
