Job summary

CFS is seeking an experienced Controller/FP&A leader in Saint Paul, MN. You will partner with the CEO and senior leadership to shape strategic growth, oversee accounting, budgeting, and internal controls, and drive profitability and automation initiatives across multiple entities.

The role requires 10+ years in accounting/FP&A, CPA preferred, and a background in manufacturing or operations finance. Expect a high-impact position with a clear CFO career path and robust compensation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting, finance, controllership, or FP&A experience.
• Strong manufacturing, production, cost accounting, or operations finance background.
• Proven experience analyzing labor costs, pricing strategies, margins, profitability, and operational performance.
• Experience leading ERP, accounting system, MRP, or process improvement initiatives.
• CPA strongly preferred; CMA, MBA, or other advanced finance credentials are highly valued.
• Ability to operate as both a strategic business partner and hands-on finance leader.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control activities across multiple entities.
• Partner with operations leadership to analyze profitability, labor utilization, pricing, margins, and customer contracts.
• Develop KPIs, benchmarking tools, and reporting that improve financial visibility and business performance.
• Evaluate and streamline manual processes while leading automation and systems improvement initiatives.
• Manage cash flow, treasury activities, audits, compliance, and financial risk management.
• Direct and mentor the accounting team while supporting organizational growth and scalability.
