Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a strategic Controller in Aventura, FL to lead financial operations and reporting for multiple entities. You will shape financial strategy, oversee budgeting, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-growing organization.

You will manage a team, collaborate with executive leadership, and drive process improvements by leveraging NetSuite and other advanced tools to support sustained growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of Controller experience in mid-size to large companies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; Master’s/CPA preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for multiple entities.
• Lead budgeting and monitor all aspects of financial operations.
• Present financials and budget insights to the executive team.
• Oversee federal and state tax filings and payments.
• Manage annual financial statement submissions to external CPA firm.
• Establish and maintain financial policies and internal controls.
• Oversee Revenue Cycle, AP, AR, Payroll, GL, Fixed Assets, and reconciliations.
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare ad hoc reports.
• Participate in executive-level decision-making; ensure legal compliance.

Qualifications of the Controller:

• 3–5+ years of experience as Controller in a mid-size to large company

• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
• Proven leadership skills with a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality
• Strong communication and entrepreneurial mindset
• Experience managing a team of 10+
• Previous experience in public accounting
