The Alliance Group Inc. is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead all accounting operations in a dynamic, growing insurance-focused company in Florida.

You will oversee general ledger, close processes, financial reporting, audits, internal controls, budgeting, and strategic partnering with executives. The role requires active CPA status, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, and extensive experience in regulated insurance accounting with senior leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations: general ledger, month-end close, year-end close, reconciliations, and reporting
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure reporting in accordance with GAAP and insurance industry requirements
• Oversee internal controls, policies, and financial processes
• Coordinate annual audits and act as point of contact for external auditors
• Partner with executives on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategy
• Monitor regulatory reporting and compliance for the insurance industry
• Manage and develop accounting team members
• Identify process improvements to enhance reporting and efficiency
• Support special projects and organizational growth

• Lead the company's accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with GAAP and applicable insurance industry requirements
• Oversee internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors
• Partner with executive leadership on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
• Monitor regulatory reporting and compliance requirements applicable to the insurance industry
• Manage and develop accounting team members
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, controls, and overall efficiency
• Support special projects and continued organizational growth

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Insurance industry accounting experience required
• Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, or comparable senior accounting leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Experience working within a regulated insurance environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a growing, fast-paced organization
