The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting, 8+ years of CRE accounting leadership, and experience with consolidations and third-party management firms.

The position is four days onsite with one day remote, offering a strong base salary, annual bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits in a supportive work environment.

Job description

Controller. Commercial Real Estate Controller. NextStep Recruiting is working with a fantastic Commercial Real Estate Developer / Hospitality Industry Organization in the Uptown Dallas area who is looking to hire an experienced Controller to join their team.

Candidates should have:

• A bachelor’s in accounting or a similar field. An advanced degree and/or certifications are a plus
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience and accounting leadership experience in a Commercial Real Estate Development and Management organization.
• Experience working with self-managed properties as well as 3rd party management firms
• Corporate accounting experience with consolidations, eliminations, etc. Strong experience with improving processes and automation

Our client is a fantastic place to work with an awesome boss/mentor to work with. This role is four days onsite with one day remote, so a commute to the Uptown area of Dallas must be attractive. Strong base salary (target of $160k - $180k DOE but client will be flexible DOE), annual bonus potential, benefits, PTO, 401k match, etc. are all offered along with a great work environment/culture.
