Job summary

The Unger Company Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio seeks an experienced finance leader to manage Accounting, Payroll, AR/AP, and HR functions. This hands-on role requires taking charge and driving the organization forward in a privately owned, centennial business.

You will supervise month-end close, financial reporting, and sales reporting, while collaborating with the President and VP. CPA is preferred and 7+ years of accounting experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree required with strong leadership capabilities.
• ERP knowledge with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains software and SalesPad.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day Accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Payroll and Expense Analysis, and supervising AR/AP.
• All Month End closing processes including bank reconciliations, G/L, Journal entries, financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Daily billings and bookings report.
• Producing Monthly sales reports for sales representatives.
• Work closely with President and Vice President on daily basis.
• Human Resources functions including new hiring/exiting processing, benefit administration, payroll, and employee relations.
• Supervise and work with various departments.
• Take on various projects to assist with operational growth.

This position is responsible for all Accounting, Financial, and Human Resources functions. This is a hands-on position and we are looking for an individual with a take-charge attitude who will help our organization move forward to the next level.

• Ability to work independently and make decisions for the best benefit of the company.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office systems, Outlook, Word, and Excel is a must.
• ERP Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains software, reporting, and SalesPad.
• Ability to analyze and communicate with all types of people and organizations.
• Strong work ethic and problem-solving abilities.
• Being able to multitask and meet deadlines.
