Job summary

Korn Ferry is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a newly created, high-growth finance function in Columbus. This on-site role focuses on centralizing accounting duties, consolidations, ASC 842 lease accounting, and process improvements across a multi-entity organization.

The position offers visibility to executive leadership and a pathway to build a scalable accounting organization within a PE-backed environment. CPA strongly preferred and public accounting backgrounds are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Open to candidates directly from Public Accounting.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Multi-Entity/Location or Complex accounting environment experience - Required.
• Prior Private Equity, Acquisition, or Integration experience - Plus.
• ASC842 exposure.
• Process improvement mindset with the ability to create structure and efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of financials across a multi-entity organization. Lead continued centralization of accounting duties from those historically managed by operating companies.
• Oversee consolidations, financial reporting, technical accounting matters, and lease accounting activities (ASC 842).
• Drive process improvements, establish process checklists, develop review procedures, and improve overall controllership disciplines.
• Partner closely with the Controller, CFO, and FP&A leadership team.
• Support acquisition integrations, chart of accounts mapping, ERP onboarding, and reporting alignment.
• Lead continuous ERP improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for automation and efficiencies.
• Serve as a key liaison with external auditors and support annual audit activities.
• Assist in building a proactive accounting culture focused on problem solving, process discipline, and continuous improvement.

The newly created Accounting Manager role reports directly to the Controller and will play a critical role in strengthening the accounting function during an exciting period of growth, transformation, and operational enhancement.
