Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Manufacturing Controller to oversee all financial operations for a production-focused organization. The role emphasizes closing, reporting, and cost management across multiple entities in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years in controller-level roles, with 10+ years in cost accounting and corporate finance. Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience are required, CPA/CMA a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes and generate financial statements for leadership.
• Oversee general accounting, cost accounting, cash flow, audits, and banking relationships.
• Maintain ledgers across multiple entities and supervise inventory and cost systems.
• Monitor departmental performance, analyze productivity metrics, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide oversight for corporate risk management, insurance, and benefits administration.
• Supervise and develop accounting and purchasing staff.

Manufacturing Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight & Reporting: Direct all monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes. Generate comprehensive financial statements and performance reports for executive leadership.
• Corporate Accounting: Oversee general accounting, cost accounting, and cash flow management. Coordinate external audits and manage banking relationships.
• Multi-Entity & Cost Management: Maintain general ledgers across multiple corporate entities. Supervise complex inventory and cost accounting systems common to production environments.
• Operational Analysis: Monitor departmental performance, analyze productivity metrics, and identify cost‑saving opportunities across operations and purchasing.
• Administrative Management: Provide oversight for standard corporate risk management, including commercial insurance and standard corporate benefits administration.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and develop the internal accounting and purchasing staff.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. An advanced degree or professional certification (CPA/CMA) is an asset.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or equivalent senior financial leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • A minimum of 10 years of total progressive experience in cost accounting and corporate finance.
• Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard financial reporting tools.
  • Experience utilizing standard enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, corporate payroll platforms, and fixed asset software.
  • ERP system implementation or migration experience is a plus.
