Job summary

RemX | The Workforce Experts is conducting a confidential search for a hands-on Controller to join a manufacturing leader. You will own the accounting function, drive month-end closes, and partner with operations to improve profitability and cost control.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of progressive experience, including senior leadership in a manufacturing setting, inventory and cost accounting expertise, and ERP know-how.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Controller or senior accounting leadership experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience is a MUST.
• Strong inventory and cost accounting expertise.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance.
• ERP system experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with operations and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Own general ledger, financial reporting, and balance sheet integrity
• Manage inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing financial analysis
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
• Partner with operations leadership on profitability, pricing, and cost reduction programs
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and compliance processes
• Support audits, tax requirements, and corporate reporting initiatives
• Develop and mentor accounting and finance staff
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and overall financial performance
