Job summary

Ferretti Search is assisting a stable manufacturing organization in Charlotte, NC to recruit a Controller who will lead the accounting and finance function. The role is based in Charlotte, offers a base compensation of $120k-$130k and a Monday–Friday schedule from 8 a.m.

to 5 p.m. The Controller will oversee month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, while partnering with executive leadership on financial performance.

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting/finance leadership with strategic and hands-on skills.
• Experience with month-end close, GL, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Collaborative, analytical finance professional partnering with exec leadership to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, month-end and year-end close, general ledger activity, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial analysis, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and performance.
• Lead and support the accounting team while establishing efficient processes, developing team members, and ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

Compensation: $120k- $130k base

Schedule: M-F, 8a-5p

• Accounting & Financial Leadership: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, month-end and year-end close, general ledger activity, financial reporting, and internal controls

• Team Leadership & Development: Lead and support the accounting team while establishing efficient processes, developing team members, and ensuring accurate and timely financial information

Who are you?

• Experienced Accounting Leader: Progressive accounting and finance leadership experience with the ability to operate effectively in both strategic and hands-on environments


• Strong Accounting Operator: Experience across month-end close, general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and accounting operations


• Business Partner: A collaborative, analytical, and solutions-oriented finance professional who can work closely with executive leadership and use financial data to support business decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading accounting and finance for a mid-sized organization


• Experience within manufacturing, metals, or another complex operational environment


• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management


• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, month-end close, and general ledger accounting
