Job summary

CFS is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations in a fast-paced service environment. You will lead a small accounting team and provide strategic financial insight to executive leadership to support growth.

You’ll manage day-to-day activities, prepare financial statements, and partner with leadership on planning and improvements. PE-backed, growth through acquisitions, with strong benefits and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial management and daily financial oversight experience.
• Proven leader with experience managing and developing accounting staff.
• Strong background in financial reporting, cash flow management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations across multiple intercompany entities.
• Manage and mentor a team including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing personnel.
• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Partner with executive leadership to support financial planning and business decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate with external CPA partners during year-end financial statement preparation.
