Job summary

LOOP, a well-established commercial construction company, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their leadership team. This hands-on role focuses on guiding the accounting function, improving processes, and partnering with executives to scale the organization.

You will oversee general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, and financial reporting; manage job costing and profitability; and collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager roles.
• Construction accounting and job costing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience leading accounting teams and implementing process improvements.
• ERP experience required; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to partner directly with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Oversee job costing and project profitability reporting to support operational decision-making.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting to support growth.
• Lead and mentor the accounting and administrative team while fostering a collaborative environment.
• Work closely with external CPA and serve as a trusted financial partner to leadership.
