Job summary

San Antonio Water System is seeking a Control Systems Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair process control systems. Under supervision of the instrumentation and controls group, you will complete tasks, attend safety training, and support the team to fulfill SAWS's mission.

The role involves working with PLCs, analytical instrumentation, RF communications, and low voltage circuitry in a hazardous environment, with opportunities to contribute to multiple projects and daily

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and one year experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, repair and installation of control systems or related field, OR an Associate's Degree in Industrial Process Instrumentation or related field from an accredited institution, OR HS diploma with CCST certification.

Responsibilities

Maintains, troubleshoots, and navigates PLCs for automation systems.
Maintains and troubleshoots chemical analysis systems, hazardous chemical distribution, and detection systems.
Maintains and troubleshoots fluoride, chlorine, and pH analytical equipment.
Maintains and troubleshoots RF radio communication equipment.
Demonstrates technical aptitude with low voltage circuits.
Assists Senior Control Systems Technicians with data and inventory of field equipment.
Supports projects and installation of PLCs, analyzers, flow meters, RF radios, and other process equipment.
