Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a PLC controls technician to troubleshoot and maintain PLC, OIT, and HMI programs at water utility sites. You will collaborate with operations staff to resolve monitoring issues and ensure changes are tested from PLC to displays.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or relevant technical experience, 5+ years in the field, and experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs/RSLogix or Modicon Unity, plus a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or relevant technical experience.
• 5+ years of related field experience.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs/RSLogix; Modicon PLCs/Unity; Wonderware InTouch/System Platform.
• Water or wastewater experience preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and maintains PLC, OIT, and HMI programs used to operate water/wastewater facilities.
• Maintains communication devices (switches, radios, routers, modems).
• Collaborates with operations staff to resolve monitoring/controls issues; tests modifications end-to-end.
• Performs upgrades to PLC/OIT/HMI programs and supports startup and commissioning.
