Job summary

GrayMatter in Missouri is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design, develop and implement control system solutions for client projects. You will work on Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, and related SCADA tools, performing troubleshooting, testing, and on-site pilots while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong attention to detail, independent work capability, and a customer-first mindset to deliver high-quality results on schedule.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable). An equivalent combination of experience and training will also be considered.
Experience with industrial PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, Modicon, etc.)
Required experience with Rockwell PLCs
Control Systems implementation, design, installations, and troubleshooting
Basic understanding of electrical schematics and electrical installations
Acute attention to detail and process
Strong ability to solve problems and research solutions
Excellent customer service attitude
Ability to work both independently and in team environments

Responsibilities

Perform GrayMatter services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on Control Systems
Design, develop and implement solutions to resolve customer issues
Consult with and train end users on new applications
Assist in project development and planning
Perform onsite pilots, FAT testing, SAT testing, and demos as needed
The location of the position is in Missouri.
Position requires 30 - 40% independent travel to customer locations
