Job summary

Uline is opening a new Connecticut warehouse and seeks a Control Mechanic to keep equipment running smoothly. Based at Plainfield, CT, you will maintain conveyors and warehouse systems and collaborate with Engineering, Facilities and Operations teams.

Requires high school diploma (trade school helpful), 2+ years of warehouse maintenance, and electrical/mechanical skills with PLC/PC control familiarity. Travel 2–3 times yearly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• 2+ years of warehouse maintenance experience.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and train others.
• Electrical and mechanical skills with experience in PC and PLC control packages.
• Willingness to travel 2–3 times per year to support projects at Uline branches across North America.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor warehouse automated conveyors and systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment including forklifts.
• Work with Engineering, Warehouse Administration, Facilities and Operations teams to keep equipment running.
• Assist with parts management, inspections, repairs and remote troubleshooting.
• Apply hands-on expertise across material handling systems.
