Job summary

Uline is opening a new Connecticut warehouse and seeks a Control Mechanic to keep equipment running at the Plainfield facility. The role offers hourly pay from $35 to $40 and includes a $5,000 new-hire bonus. Expect collaboration with engineering and operations teams and travel to other North American branches as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of warehouse maintenance experience.
• Electrical and mechanical skills with PC/PLC experience.
• Willingness to travel 2-3 times per year to support projects across North America.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor warehouse automated conveyors and systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment including forklifts.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Warehouse Administration, Facilities and Operations teams to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Assist with parts management, inspections, repairs and remote troubleshooting.
• Apply hands-on expertise across a range of material handling systems.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor warehouse automated conveyors and systems.
• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment including forklifts.
• Work closely with Engineering, Warehouse Administration, Facilities and Operational teams to ensure equipment runs effectively.
• Assist with parts management, inspections, repairs and remote troubleshooting.
• Apply hands-on expertise across a range of material handling systems.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent. Trade school or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of warehouse maintenance-related experience.
• Ability to work independently, with a team and train others.
• Electrical and mechanical skills with experience in PC and / or PLC control packages.
• Willingness to travel 2 - 3 times per year to support projects at Uline branches across North America.
