Job summary

Uline, a family-owned company and North America's leading distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials, is seeking a Control Mechanic for its Connecticut facility.

Join our team to maintain conveyors and automated systems, perform preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment (including forklifts), and collaborate with Engineering, Facilities and Operations. Travel to other Uline branches 2–3 times per year is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• 2+ years of warehouse maintenance experience.
• Willingness to travel 2–3 times per year to support projects across North America.
• Ability to work independently and with a team; train others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor warehouse automated conveyors and systems.
• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment including forklifts.
• Work closely with Engineering, Warehouse Administration, Facilities and Operational teams to ensure equipment runs effectively.
• Assist with parts management, inspections, repairs and remote troubleshooting.
• Apply hands‑on expertise across a range of material handling systems.

• Electrical and mechanical skills with experience in PC and / or PLC control packages.
• Willingness to travel 2 - 3 times per year to support projects at Uline branches across North America.
