Firman Solutions in Wisconsin seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to lead the controls scope for complex equipment projects from requirements through commissioning and customer acceptance.

You will design and program PLC and HMI applications using Rockwell Automation platforms (ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View) and collaborate across multi-system integrations to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Rockwell/AB PLC and HMI platforms and Siemens is a plus.
• Experience with process control, VFDs, servo motion, safety PLCs, instrumentation.
• 5+ years of US-based experience designing/programming industrial control systems.
• Ability to read, create, and review electrical schematics and controls docs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the controls scope for complex equipment projects from initial requirements and system architecture through programming, testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
• Design and program PLC and HMI applications using Rockwell Automation platforms, including ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLC and HMI platforms; Siemens experience is a plus.
• Experience with process control, VFDs, servo motion, safety PLCs, instrumentation, and multi-system integration.
• 5+ years of U.S.-based experience designing and programming industrial control systems for automated machinery, OEM equipment, or systems-integration projects, with strong knowledge of applicable U.S. electrical, safety, and industrial automation standards.
• Ability to read, create, and review electrical schematics and technical controls documentation.
