Job summary

Coast Electric Power Association is seeking a System Operator to monitor and control the electric distribution system from the Control Center. The role requires responding to outages, coordinating field crews, and managing SCADA and related technologies, with rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Primary responsibilities include dispatching personnel, performing switching procedures, and maintaining accurate logs and documentation while ensuring safety policies are followed

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate electrical distribution systems using SCADA.
  • Respond to outages by dispatching appropriate personnel.
  • Perform switching procedures with proper lockout/tagout.
  • Coordinate operations during maintenance, emergencies, and storms.
  • Document and relay outage communications and tickets.
  • Maintain logs and operational documentation.
  • Support outage management, GIS, and CIS systems.
  • Provide member service support related to service orders.
