Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related ABET-accredited field.
• Equivalent work experience with a minimum of 4 years in distribution operations may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day operations of the regional distribution system.
• Perform outage restoration with timely documentation during emergencies.
• Recommend operational improvements and communicate events to staff.
• Provide sound customer service and coordinate with personnel.
• Operate SCADA, EMS, EDOA, and RDO systems and related communications.
• Analyze disturbances and restore to normal configuration promptly.
• Develop switching orders, outages, and load transfer plans.
• Coordinate staffing and field work for emergencies; maintain weather awareness.
• Progress toward Regional Distribution System Operator level through training.
