Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Control Center Back Office Manager to join our System Operations Center team in Chicago. You will drive operational excellence by designing procedures, tools, and systems for our control center and coordinating grid outages, switching, and ISO interactions.

You will lead regulatory compliance with NERC, FERC, and DOE standards, monitor performance, and support SCADA and communications infrastructure while promoting safety and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in electrical engineering; advanced degree/PE a plus.
• 5+ years in utility, control center, or renewable operations.
• Familiarity with grid operations, ISO protocols, and SCADA systems.
• NERC certification or ability to obtain one.
• Strong IT and systems knowledge; Maximo experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine procedures, tools, and systems for the control center.
• Coordinate outages, switching procedures, and ISO interactions with internal and external teams.
• Ensure compliance with NERC, FERC, and DOE standards; lead documentation and audits.
• Monitor facility performance, analyze curtailments and outages, drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and support SCADA systems and communications infrastructure.
• Champion safety and training; ensure personnel meet regulatory requirements.
