Job summary

SCI is seeking a detail-oriented Contract Specialist to support the preparation, review, execution, modification, and closeout of contractual agreements. This role collaborates with the Proposal Development Department to develop cost models, bases of estimates (BOEs), and subcontract support documentation. #2606MS

The ideal candidate will ensure contracts reflect customer needs and company obligations, maintain compliant paperwork, and help drive procurement proposals across departments.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a legal, contracts, procurement, or related position.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret and explain contractual terms and requirements.
• Ability to research regulations and contractual requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contractual agreements based on current customer requirements and the company's capabilities and business needs.
• Review contracts, modifications, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal and state regulations.
• Assist with contract execution and closeout by coordinating with business units throughout the company.
• Develop and support effective procurement proposals.
• Assist with contract modification processing and ensure required documentation is completed accurately.
• Maintain organized and accurate contract files and supporting documentation.
• Perform other contract-related duties and special projects as assigned.
