Job summary

The City of El Paso seeks an experienced contracts professional to oversee, develop and execute professional services and construction contracts for the assigned department. You will negotiate terms, draft amendments, issue Notices to Proceed and ensure funding is encumbered and allocated.

A Bachelor's degree in business or public administration and four years of contract development/administration or related experience are required, along with a Texas Class C Driver's License or equivalent.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, social/behavioral sciences or related field.
Four years of experience in contract development or administration; grant administration; or purchasing at federal, state or local level.
Licenses: Texas Class C Driver's License or equivalent from another state.

Responsibilities

Develop, write, negotiate, finalize and execute professional services and construction contracts.
Issue notices to proceed and modify contracts as needed.
Monitor funding, ensure compliance with contract terms and coordination with Legal and other departments.
Supervise assigned staff and ensure training and development of team.
