Qualifications

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Contracts Manager - Avionics to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will serve as a key legal and contracting partner for avionics programs, helping guide contract strategy, negotiations, and risk management in a highly regulated environment. The position works closely with internal stakeholders and customers to review complex agreements, respond to RFPs, and support sound commercial decisions. It also plays an important role in ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations while mentoring junior contract professionals.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $107,500 – $204,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contractual advisor for assigned programs, liaising between stakeholders and customers
• Review, interpret, negotiate, and manage complex contract types
• Evaluate customer RFPs, identify risks, and draft terms
• Lead negotiations for complex contracts with legal and subject-matter experts
• Provide strategic guidance on contract strategy and risk posture
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Mentor junior contract professionals and manage multiple contracting efforts

Qualifications

• University degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5 years of experience
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and export controls
• Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage complex contracts independently
