Qualifications

• Ability to interpret policies and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provides contract and grant preparation review to understand requirements for the application process.
• Acts as point of contact with UMB parties, sponsor, and sub-contractors to ensure milestones are met.
• Navigates the Subcontract process through University systems for compliance.
• Collaborates with PI and management to develop project plans and interpret policy.
• Reconciles budget and forecasts income with sponsor approvals.
• Prepares and reviews financial status reports and invoices; coordinates closeout procedures.
• Advises PI on financial transactions such as travel and purchasing.
• Interprets and applies Federal, State, and sponsor guidelines.
• Reviews applications for funding and prepares budgets in line with policy.
