Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of accounting, budget, contract, grant, or research administration experience.
• Completion of a 12-credit Research Administration graduate certificate can substitute for one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides contract and grant preparation review and sets submission requirements.
• Builds relationships with sponsors and subcontractors to meet milestones and ensure compliance.
• Navigates subcontract processes to align with University standards.
• Collaborates with PI and management to develop project plans and budgets.
• Reconciles budgets and forecasts expenditures; communicates variances.
• Prepares financial status reports and invoices; coordinates closeout procedures.
• Advises PI on financial transactions such as travel, purchasing, subcontracting.
• Interprets Federal, State, and sponsor guidelines; ensures compliance.
• Reviews funding applications and budgets in line with policy.
• Maintains required training documents and regulatory compliance.
