Job summary

Peak Performers is seeking a Contracts Coordinator to manage high‑value public sector service contracts from a convenient OKC location. You will join a dedicated public sector division in Near North, supporting a major Oklahoma state agency responsible for health care coverage and purchasing services for residents statewide.

The role involves drafting and processing complex professional service contracts, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and managing vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of technical clerical experience plus 1 year of hands-on procurement or contracting experience.
• Experience writing, editing, and managing legal or contractual documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executive staff and vendors.
• CPO designation or Medicaid/state health program IT procurement knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage initiation, development, evaluation, and processing of complex professional service contracts.
• Draft contract specifications and determine procurement methods.
• Execute procurement workflows: Market Research, RFPs, ITBs, Sole Sources, Data Use Agreements.
• Review invoices, monitor contract budgets and deadlines, be the primary vendor contact.

Peak Performers is hiring a Contracts Coordinator to manage high-value public sector service contracts in a central, convenient OKC location! You will be joining a dedicated public sector division based in Near North.

The Team You Will be Joining

You will be supporting a major Oklahoma state agency dedicated to administering vital health care coverage and purchasing services for hundreds of thousands of residents statewide. This collaborative division manages complex, large-scale professional service procurements that directly empower the agency's health mission. In this role, you will work alongside experienced procurement leaders to process high-value contracts and maintain compliance across key state initiatives.

Major Duties

• Manage the initiation, development, evaluation, and processing of complex professional service contracts, traditionally valued over $500,000.
• Partner with business owners to draft contract specifications, determine procurement methods, and ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Execute key procurement workflows including Market Research, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Bid (ITBs), Sole Sources, and Data Use Agreements.
• Review and approve contractor invoices, monitor contract budgets and deadlines, and serve as the primary point of contact for vendor operational health and compliance.

What Are We Looking For?

• At least 3 years of technical clerical experience plus 1 year of hands‑on procurement, purchasing, or contracting experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Proven experience writing, editing, and managing legal or contractual documents and professional service procurements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with executive staff, state oversight entities, and outside vendors.
• Current Certified Procurement Officer (CPO) designation, prior Medicaid/state health program experience, or IT procurement knowledge is highly preferred.

Exciting Opportunity Details

• Rate: $25.00/hour (or commensurate with experience)
• Contract: 6–12 Months (Full-Time, 40 hours/week)
• Worksite Location: Oklahoma City, OK
• Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: Onsite (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Other Key Details: Target start date is November 2026.
