Position Information

Under general supervision, the Contracts and Grants Analyst is responsible for performing pre and post‑award research administration duties including but not limited to developing research proposals, managing awards, processing transactions related to contract and grant management, and maintaining contract and grant records in compliance with institutional and research sponsor policies. The Contracts and Grants Analyst will coordinate the submission of proposals to multiple agencies, including the development of multi‑year budgets, where analysis of financial information requires review of a variety of factors (e.g., salaries, fringe benefits, expenses, etc.). Receives assignments on a project basis and fully analyzes problems, gathers data and information, and recommends solutions. Completes and approves transactions for signature by manager or other authorized institutional official. The Contracts and Grants analyst will assist faculty in planning for the effective and appropriate use of all their funds; and ensure compliance with agency‑specific terms and conditions, federal OMB circulars, and UC policy. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $81,200 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
