Job summary

Safran Defense & Space, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Intern to support our finance team in mapping and documenting financial processes, including Sales Orders, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Reconciliation.

This role provides hands-on exposure to core accounting activities in a dynamic defense environment. You will organize data, draft basic reports, and assist with monthly and quarterly reconciliations, asset tracking, and audit documentation, while learning professional finance

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Supports the finance function in mapping and documenting processes, including workflows for Sales Orders, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting and Reconciliation.
• Help gather, review, and organize financial data to support budgeting activities.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the finance department’s structure, workflows, and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insights into the integration of finance operations within the organization.
• Work alongside financial professionals to support administrative tasks and deliverables for special projects.
• Assist in audit preparations and implementation of compliance measures.
• Other duties as assigned.
