Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Simsbury, CT is seeking college students for its 2027 summer internship program. This 12-week internship provides hands-on experience in contract administration and compliance, with collaboration among Contracts staff and our ERP system (IFS).

As an intern you will review contracts, upload awards, assist with orders, review NDAs/PIEAs, support contract closeout, organize records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree with junior standing in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and contract modifications alongside Contracts staff to support administration and compliance.
• Upload contract awards and documentation into EBAD's ERP system (IFS).
• Assist with creating and maintaining customer orders within IFS.
• Review contract modifications to identify changes and document them.
• Support NDAs and PIEAs reviews, including renewals or terminations.
• Assist with contract closeout and coordination of required reviews.
• Organize and maintain contract documentation and records.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives in Contract Administration and Compliance.

Job Description

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace and Defense Company is seeking talented college students to join our 2027 summer internship program. Our 12-week internship program is designed to provide real-world and hands-on experience in areas that interest you! As an intern, you will collaborate with industry experts to solve real-world challenges and change the way we do business.

Contracts Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting contract administration and compliance through:

• Reviewing new customer contracts and contract modifications alongside Contracts staff
• Uploading contract awards and supporting documentation into EBAD's ERP system, IFS
• Assisting with the creation and maintenance of customer orders within IFS
• Reviewing contract modifications to help identify and document changes
• Supporting the review of customer Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Proprietary Information Exchange Agreements (PIEAs), including agreements requiring renewal or termination
• Assisting with the closeout of completed contracts and coordinating required review activities
• Organizing and maintaining contract documentation and records
• Supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives, including reviewing and updating procedures for Contract Administration and Contract Compliance

Qualified candidates will be pursuing a bachelor's degree with Junior standing at the time of application, preferably in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
