Job summary

CNRG is seeking a results-driven sales professional to support contractors and professional customers at our store. You will call on contractor accounts, present building materials, and coordinate jobsite deliveries with our drivers.

A strong math foundation and clear communication are essential as you write orders and provide accurate quotes. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in retail building materials sales, knowledge of lumber and blueprint reading, and the ability to lift 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of retail sales experience dealing with building materials and hardware to professional contractors.
• Strong math, reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Ability to lift and load merchandise up to 100 lbs and climb a ladder when required.
• Knowledge of lumber, building materials, blueprint reading and contractor sales preferred.
• Able to communicate via telephone, text and e-mail; customer-focused and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Call on contractor customers and maintain professional relationships.
• Coordinate deliveries and special requirements for jobsites with delivery personnel.
• Write orders and special orders, ensuring correct processing by suppliers the first time.
• Provide regular reporting on sales performance, call history, and quoting opportunities.
• Prospect for new customers by telephone and in person.
• Present products and services against competitors and suggest pricing adjustments as needed.
• Maintain professional and courteous conduct in person or by phone, text, and e‑mail.
• Participate in local builder associations as appropriate.
