Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of retail sales experience in building materials and hardware.
• Able to lift and load merchandise up to 100 lbs. and maneuver in store/yard/warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Provide product knowledge to assist contractors, remodelers, industrial accounts, and other professional customers.
• Call on contractor customers and prospect for new business by phone and in person.
• Perform material takeoffs to estimate items and quantities for jobs as requested by customers.
• Maintain accurate orders in POS systems and ensure correct processing by suppliers the first time.
• Provide management with regular reporting on sales activity and opportunities.
