Job summary

Central Network Retail Group, LLC (CNRG) is seeking a Contractor Sales Representative who knows lumber, hardware and building materials and can translate knowledge into sales. You’ll build relationships with contractors, builders and remodelers and drive new business from the showroom to the job site.

The role involves quotes, takeoffs, coordinating deliveries and maintaining margin while delivering excellent customer service. If you enjoy field sales, this is a strong fit.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of sales experience in building materials preferred.
• Experience working with contractors, builders or remodelers strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of lumber, building materials and general hardware.
• Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs and work in a store, yard, warehouse and jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow relationships with contractors, builders, remodelers and professional customers.
• Prospect for new customers through phone calls, visits and networking.
• Provide expert product recommendations and solutions.
• Prepare quotes, material takeoffs and special orders.
• Coordinate jobsite deliveries and special requirements.
• Follow up on quotes and projects to win business and keep customers coming back.
• Stay informed on competitor products and pricing.
• Process customer orders accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain sales and gross margin goals.
• Keep management updated on sales activity, customer opportunities and upcoming projects
