Job summary

DOCS Health seeks Nurse Practitioners to partner as independent contractors delivering military health readiness services. Primarily weekends with occasional weekdays, in VA and other locations, including remote installations, on an as-needed basis.

Requirements include an active NP license, CPR/BLS, and experience in primary/urgent/occupational health. Travel and long hours are expected; background check and E-Verify may be used.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state.
• CPR/BLS certification present.
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred.
• Able to work extended hours and travel to various locations.

Responsibilities

• Support physical health assessments for service members.
• Review health history, medical records, and questionnaires.
• Interview service members to determine medical concerns.
• Identify urgent issues including behavioral health.
• Document interview results in the medical record in the proprietary system.
