Job summary

DOCS Health offers independent contractor roles for Nurse Practitioners to provide health readiness services to military members. Most work occurs on weekends with occasional weekday shifts under RHRP across Delaware, serving USAR, ARNG, USNR, MARFORRES, USCGR, ANG, and USAFR.

Active NP licensure in the state, CPR/BLS, and flexibility for travel and extended hours are required or preferred. The role emphasizes field-based assessments and rapid documentation in a proprietary system.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, terminology preferred.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments with high patient volumes.
• Able to work extended hours and weekends for travel.
• Willingness to travel to remote installations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records and questionnaires.
• Interview personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify concerns needing immediate attention, including behavioral health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the medical record.
