Job summary

DOCS Health seeks Nurse Practitioners as independent contractors to provide health readiness services to U.S. military members, primarily on weekends with occasional weekday work under the Reserve Health Readiness Program.

Active NP licenses in the state are required, CPR/BLS certification, and experience in primary, urgent, or occupational health is preferred. Candidates must be able to travel and work across multiple locations, including remote military installations.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health - preferred
• Willing to travel and work weekends
• Not required - diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify any concerns that need immediate attention, including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record.
