Job summary

Accounting Search in Manassas, VA is seeking a phlebotomist for a contract position with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, located in Manassas. The role involves phlebotomy on all ages, hard sticks and needles, data entry and processing, and basic computer skills.

Minimum 2 years of experience required. Projected duration is 3 months with potential for perm; benefits are available. May be asked to work at another location in Manassas as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store per required temperatures.
