Job summary

LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant in Greensboro, NC, to join a growing organization on a contract-to-hire basis. The role emphasizes cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will support month-end close, cost analyses, and process improvements while partnering with operations to improve financial visibility and efficiency. Strong ERP experience and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing accounting experience required.
• Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory controls.
• ERP system experience with SAP, Oracle, Epicor, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong technical accounting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Analyze manufacturing costs, labor, overhead, and variances
• Maintain inventory accounting and valuation
• Monitor standard costs and support cost roll processes
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
• Support internal and external audits
• Partner with operations to improve financial visibility
• Develop and enhance accounting processes and reporting
