Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a motivated Supply Chain Specialist to support planning, sourcing, contracting, procurement, logistics, and materials management for complex engineering and construction projects based in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. You will collaborate with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure procurement objectives are met on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, SCM, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Engineering/Industrial/Transportation Construction supply chain.
• Minimum of 1 year negotiation experience or ability to negotiate subcontracts.
• Experience drafting and managing material/equipment contracts; understanding terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the contract process for materials/equipment; negotiate terms and handle changes.
• Purchase quality materials at the lowest possible cost per specs/drawings.
• Coordinate with staff, users and vendors to address defective goods and actions.
• Leverage vendors across procurements to achieve project cost savings.
• Evaluate suppliers on price, quality, service, and reliability.
• Monitor shipments and resolve delivery issues.
• Prepare RFPs and evaluate proposals; develop vendor/subcontracts; interface with Engineering/Construction.
