Job summary

Tier4 Group is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Consultant for a contract role in a complex, multi-site manufacturing environment. You will resolve aged invoice exceptions, address pricing and receiving discrepancies in SAP, and strengthen controls to prevent duplicate payments.

You will partner with Materials Planning, Receiving, Procurement, IT, and Supply Chain to fix data quality at the source. Involvement in period-end close and audits is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AP with senior/lead responsibilities in manufacturing.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in automotive Tier-1/2 manufacturing and scheduling agreements; OEM delivery protocols.
• Expert-level SAP ERP (FI/MM) with legacy T-codes and invoice workflows.
• Proficiency with Looker and BI dashboards for AP metrics.
• Experience with OCR/bot invoice ingestion tools.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits and US GAAP/J-Sox compliance.
• Experience handling multiple currencies and forex issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level research and 3-way matching on aged invoice exceptions (30-40+ day backlog).
• Investigate price variance blocks and pricing date mismatches.
• Reconcile multi-site inventory and receiving lags; manage non-standard billing structures.
• Audit and eliminate non-compliant workarounds; enforce proper debit/credit memo workflows.
• Clean up Looker dashboard entries by archiving duplicates and stale data.
• Safeguard assets and ensure compliance with US GAAP and J-Sox.
• Collaborate with IT and Supply Chain to validate SAP input controls.
• Match invoices to supporting docs; input into SAP; ensure timely payments.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and annual close; assist audits.
