Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for local and travel contracts in the Santa Monica area. You will ensure high-quality resident care in a clean, safe environment and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

Ideal candidates hold an active Arizona RN license, have at least 1 year hospital experience, and are comfortable with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Arizona.
• Prior experience as an RN in an acute rehabilitation hospital.
• Desire to care for patients in acute care with integrity.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Must have 1 year hospital experience.
• Efficient in electronic charting system.
• BLS (required) / ACLS (preferred)
• Current TB within a year
• Physical within 6 months
• Fingerprint Card clearance (current)

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper resident care in a clean and safe environment.
• Develop and ensure nursing care plan; collaborate with physicians and therapists.
• Make nursing diagnoses to guide care strategy.
• Collaborate with resident and healthcare team.
• Record administration of medication.
• Monitor staff to follow safety regulations and policies.

• Perform other duties as directed.

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include but are not limited to:

• Ensures proper resident care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
• Develop and ensure the nursing care plan and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants
• Makes nursing diagnoses, which serve as the basis for the strategy of care
• Collaborates with the resident, members of the healthcare team
• Records the administration of medication
• Monitor assigned staff to ensure established safety regulations are followed and that all tasks are performed following all state and government regulations and safety procedures as outlined by the facility
• Follows procedures related to the use of nursing equipment and supplies
• Performs other duties as directed
