Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse for local and travel contracts. The RN will develop care plans, perform nursing diagnoses, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants to ensure high-quality resident care in a safe environment.

A valid state RN license (Arizona in the listing), at least 1 year hospital experience in acute care, and proficiency with electronic charting are required; BLS is mandatory and ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in the state listed (Arizona).
• Minimum 1 year hospital experience in acute care.
• Flexible schedule required, shift work as needed.
• Experience with electronic charting systems and documentation.
• BLS is required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the nursing care plan in collaboration with physicians and therapists.
• Makes nursing diagnoses to guide care strategy.
• Record medication administration and monitor safety.
• Supervise and monitor staff to ensure safety regulations and facility policies.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include but are not limited to:

• Ensures proper resident care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
• Develop and ensure the nursing care plan and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants
• Makes nursing diagnoses, which serve as the basis for the strategy of care
• Collaborates with the resident, members of the healthcare team
• Records the administration of medication
• Monitor assigned staff to ensure established safety regulations are followed and that all tasks are performed following all state and government regulations and safety procedures as outlined by the facility
• Follows procedures related to the use of nursing equipment and supplies
• Performs other duties as directed

Qualifications of the Registered Nurse include:

• An active RN license in the state of Arizona.
• Prior experience as an RN in a acute rehabilatation hospital.
• The desire to care for patients in an acute care setting and act with integrity.
• The ability to work flexible hours.
• Must have 1 year hospital experience.
• Must be efficent in electronical charting system.
• BLS(required)/ACLS (preferred)
• Current TB with in a year
• Physical within 6 months
• Finger Print Card clearance (current)
