Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Contract Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality nursing care to individuals with disabilities in community-based settings. The RN will use the nursing process and collaborate with individuals, families, and an interdisciplinary team.

This contract position offers scheduling based on program needs and contract terms. Starting pay is $37.00 per hour and licensure/background checks are required to proceed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent nursing experience.
Minimum of one year of nursing experience with individuals with disabilities.
Valid RN license in good standing.
Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

Provide treatment and health care procedures ordered by a physician and required by professional nursing standards or applicable regulations.
Ensure individuals attend medical appointments as outlined in their ISP.
Conduct nursing assessments and follow-up visits as needed.
Monitor health and medical conditions and make referrals for medical services when appropriate.
Administer medications and provide medication management as needed.
Provide health teaching and support individuals in developing self-care and safety skills.
